Gorelick Survey

A survey of 15,000 adults by BIG research found that magazines led all media in influencing consumers to begin online searches for products and services. Forty-seven percent of respondents said they were most influenced by magazines.


Similar research found that 30% of respondents ranked print advertising as the best medium for initiating qualified online searches. These respondents made an online purchase after seeing a print ad. Figures for other media, according to the Jupiter Research study: TV ads (23%), radio ads (22%), and outdoor ads (19%).
